Becky Glover, DIP NT, mBANT, CNHC
I’m Becky, a registered nutritional therapist based in the Buckinghamshire countryside, between Oxford and Thame. I love supporting people in achieving their personal health and wellness goals, using nutrition and lifestyle guidance. I approach each client case with curiosity and excitement, and aim to create a plan that is achievable and individually focussed. I believe the body has power to heal itself – it just needs the tools to do it.
My underlying passion has always been about health and nutrition. It gives me great pleasure to help people overcome their health issues so that they look and feel better.
Having overcome my own health issues, I really do understand how my clients feel when they first come to see me. I work very closely with my clients to ensure that they take positive steps to a healthier life.
I follow the principles of Functional Medicine and so my aim is to get to the root cause of my clients’ issues. I treat everyone as an individual, as we are all different and have different sets of circumstances.
I am a fully qualified nutritional therapist, and I completed my 3 year training in Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) where I was trained in the principles of functional medicine, a science-based method that assesses the underlying causes of symptoms.
I am a member of The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) , and registered with The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I strongly believe in evidence based nutritional therapy and am committed to furthering my own knowledge. As part of my continuing professional development, I regularly attend conferences and seminars to gain further insight into specialised health topics. In 2018 I am also taking part in the Assistant Supervisor – Clinic Internship programme at CNM.
I have special interests in digestive health, weight loss, pre-diabetes, diabetes, but am happy to take on any health challenge.
Why Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Registered Nutritional Therapists use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health.
Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.
Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client’s care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided.
There is a short questionnaire and a diet diary to complete before each consultation.
In the first consultation, lots of information is gathered, including the medical history, the family’s medical history, an overview of all the body systems and any other treatments or medication. This helps to build a complete picture of a person’s health and find the underlying causes of any health problems. Health goals, preferences and the type of support required are also discussed.
During follow up consultations, we evaluate progress, changes in symptoms, aspects that were enjoyable or challenging and reassess the health goals.
What happens after the consultation?
Clients are given their own nutritional plan that is suited to their lives, needs and goals.
- We take out the bad and replace with the good
- Build new habits that will get you on the road to a healthier lifestyle – our bodies need high quality fuel to run optimally

You will receive your nutritional therapy plan by email within 2 working days of your consultation. Each plan includes:
